Recent Happenings

As some of you know,I'm up here in the States taking care of some stuff, such as, GED, PMA funds, drivers licencese and odd jobs. Here's an example of an odd job. These ppl from this Church in Denver came to the border to hold their bi-monthly CTP for the children and adults of Mezquital islands. They were in need of a translator and gave 3 square meals a day, so I signed up and off we went. It was quite a pleasant experience and I learned a lot about Christian values from these ppl. For example, we visited this man who had an accident 3 years ago which left him paralyzed from the waist down. The HIIC was telling us the story of this man who lives alone and how when he thinks about how he could walk and how much he could accomplish before he breaks things, his TV, his wheel chair and he hurts himself. It was a very sobering reminder of how blessed we all are to be able to have the gift of being able to walk. So we talked with him and prayed for him not to get depressed and not to drink (as that is when he gets violent). SO on our way out one of the attendees of this CTP asked me to translate to him that he wanted to give him a gift. So I translated and his face just lit up! So he told the man that he wanted to give him his sun glasses, (which were very nice Ray ban's) to which he humbly accepted and was thrilled about.
Afterwards we went to visit an older lady who had Alzheimer's. She was very old and very sad. We talked with her for a little bit but she was unable to recognize us and interact with us, 3 of the volunteers were brought to tears when they saw how sad it was to be unable to communicate and to live a life of solitude and grief in which you are unable to help others help you. I learned a lot that weekend, about how much we are blessed and how much we have to be thankful for. That we can speak, walk, and have lives filled with things and abilities others can only dream of. We should all stop and take a good look at our lives and how much we do instead selfishly complain about how much we need and don''t have. Those sweet Indian brethren taught me a lot about what it means to truly act like a Christian and how to reach out to others in need and give them a helping hand. I would stay to tell you more odd job's like the one we did for Jamie, but I need to go now. SO I'll tell you later... I'll dig up some photos too.

Japanese Fanta Commericals

Old skool vid of Rodney Mullen in Japan.

Music using ONLY sounds from Windows XP and 98!

2 New TMG singes!

After along wait for new tunes, and a new website>Translated music V.2.0 the TMG has finally released something to listen to!
For those of you who are not familiar with TMG (Translated Music Group) Allow me to copy paste something about this group from there website....

About:

Welcome to TranslatedMusic.com--your source for electronica from a higher dimension. This site is where you will find tracks and remixes from PHilly[Dee], Jays, and AudioGuru. This site will be updating you on the happenings of the Translated Music Group as a whole, and as individuals-- Check back every now and then to see what's up with us in the Translated Music world.

This is a side gig for all of us, but we are still committed to regularly bring you tunes that will take you out of this dimension into a higher realm.

History:

In late 2004 I had an idea for a music team or group of individuals where we would collaborate on a set goal or project--while at the same time producing each one's individual musical style and taste--and all come together and publish them on a website. While things never really got off the ground for a bit, things started coming together about 7 months later. I had a bit of music I wanted to circulate and make public, so I started working on a website. In May of 2005 I had the opportunity to DJ at a venue called Wordstock, and I decided to create my first mix album as a DJ/Producer. (I then later published this CD and it's now the first album of the Translated Music Group and features tracks from a few of the original members.) I then realized that this idea for a group could become a reality and began formulating a plan on how to get it going.

I first got a couple folks I knew who had done some music projects in the past and asked them if they wanted to join. I then went on to contact AudioGuru and Jays, two guys I felt had not only a unique style but music that totally stood above the crowd. I asked them if they wanted to contribute, and AudioGurube a part of this 'team'. They were great in hearing me out, and eventually agreed to be a part of my big idea. (Besides already being involved in bands themselves, they are full-time volunteers working abroad so I am extremely thankful for any time they are able to put into making my dream a reality. )

So, by the end of 2005 we had 6 members total. After launching the Translated V.1 site in 2006, we had tremendous amount of support and I kindly appreciate all of you who had in the past, visited the site for news, updates, new songs and so on. In August of 2006 we completed our first official album, Horizon. This for me was a dream come true and it was a success.

By the time 2007 rolled around we had all become very busy and for me
, Translated Music fell somewhat in the cracks and got lost for a time. I was working during the first part of the year on a very urgent project that demanded extreme attention and I must admit that once I completed my contributions to this project I had become very exhausted mentally and creatively. I took a hiatus from producing music as I felt I needed the down time and wanted to just not think about music for a bit. PHilly[Dee] DJing at a venue, September 2006

Now, as we begin 2008 I have a renewed focus and determination to continue to produce electronica and other music in this broad genre. Our team members also have come and gone, but AudioGuru and Jays both are committed to staying with Translated Music. I am glad that we are "renewing" our website and giving our overall public appearance a restart.

I hope you also get Translated into His presence as you listen to our music. Thanks always for your support, and thank you Jesus for making it all possible. All glory to you, sweet Love.

So the two brand panty melting singles are:

Salt of earth - These Cries (After dawn remix) (By Philly [dee]) A vocal trance remix of Salt of Earth's "These Cries". Written, sung and produced by Justin Spirit and SOE.

As a DJ, I REALLY like most forms of dance music, and what better form then heavenly, inspired, uplifting family tunes? NONE. So be sure to give them many thanks for taking the time to mix and remix family tracks for our enjoyment.

Praise God!!
Party hard!!
